The Booker T. Washington Band Program is comprised of the Symphonic, Jazz and Marching Bands.
Our History/ Our Culture
Booker T. Washington Senior High School is the oldest African-American school in South Florida. Opening in 1926. The following gentlemen have had the privilege of serving as the Director of Bands. Mr. Timothy O. Savage, Mr. Gilbert (chop-chop), Mr. Fedrick Ingram, Mr. Erron Johnson, Mr. Kermit Virgil, Mr. K. Washington and Mr. Ahmad R. Newbold.
Band Motto
Optimisim, confidence, structure and a relentless pursuit for perfection. In everything we do for the success of the Booker T. band. Taking one day, one note, and one step at a time; because when you see this band, your heart, you mind, and your SOUL should never be the same! Simply, we're the best!!! SIR YES SIR!!!
